Product Application of 2-Deoxy-D-glucose CAS#154-17-6
2-Deoxy-D-glucose is a derivative of D-glucose. It is an antimetabolite and an important component of the envelope of orthomyxovirus, paramyxovirus and herpes virus. It interferes with the synthesis of virus-specific glycoproteins and can effectively inhibit the proliferation of herpes simplex virus, RNA and DNA enveloped viruses, and breast cancer cells. Antiviral and anticancer drugs made from 2-deoxy-D-glucose have been used in clinical treatment research of herpes simplex virus, influenza, AIDS and cancer; anti-aging cosmetics and medical health products made from 2-deoxy-D-glucose are also on the market. Therefore, as a drug for treating cancer, viral diseases and anti-aging, 2-deoxy-D-glucose has broad application prospects and huge market demand.
